Jason McLean (Bass) completed his baccalaureate study at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls in 2002, where his musical focus was jazz performance and improvisation on bass guitar. While there he assisted in implementing an open mic program that continues today and played in a number of jazz groups that gigged at local venues and for many on-campus events. Jason has continued to gig with several groups around the Twin Cities area, including rock group Sepia Tone and jazz ensembles Cloud Nine and Plus One Trio. He is also an educator at the Brickhouse Music Lesson Academy in River Falls where he provides instruction for guitar and bass guitar.
Dustin DeGolier (Guitar) is a freelance musician serving Northwestern Wisconsin. He achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Music Performance with an emphasis in jazz guitar from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. A native of Cumberland, WI, Dustin began studying guitar and music theory with Manfred Schonauer at age eleven. In addition to receiving the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award, he was selected twice to perform with the Wisconsin State Music Association Honors Jazz Band during high school. Since then Dustin has studied with Billy Barnard of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, as well as UW-Milwaukee’s Pete Billmann, Elina Chekan, and Don Linke. He has participated in master classes with renowned guitarists Mark Whitfield, Bruce Forman and Julian Lage. Dustin maintains a regular performance schedule throughout Northwestern Wisconsin with groups such as The Red Cedar Hot Club Quintet, The Sylvan Springs Jazz Group, Paisan & The Family Brass and The Pipe Dream Blues Machine. When he’s not practicing or performing, he can be found teaching private lessons at the Pipe Dream Center in Comstock, WI and the Dancing Bird Art Studio in Cumberland, WI.
